Level 4: Exam years (14 to 16+)

By the time a student reaches this stage, he/she will have chosen the subjects for certification. The teachers will guide and support a period of systematic study so that the student feels confident and completely ready for the examination. This means that each student takes the exam when s/he is ready- which may be at the age of 15, 16 or even 17. This includes content coverage as well as preparation for the actual examination. Though examination preparation will form an important activity in the student’s life at this time, other activities will continue to be given attention such as taking care of the body, working at a skill of special interest, working for the school community, participation in dialogues where fundamental issues are raised and discussed, and time for being alone and quiet. This is the first exam for the student and every care will be taken that s/he meets it with confidence and performs at her highest capacity so that there is a feeling of confidence and well being in the experience.
